The “Ak Zhol” DPK Parliamentary fraction was created by the decision of the group of members of Parliament on January 20, 2012 (decision of the Presidium of the Central Council # 28 dated 20 January 2012) and it is registered by the Bureau of the Majilis on January 20, 2012 (№ 3-V, BM) .

Chairman of the Fraction is Azat Peruashev, Deputy Chairmen are Yekaterina Nikitinskaya, Azamat Abildayev. Regulations of the Fraction is approved by the Decree of the Presidium of the Party Central Council (№ 28 of 20 January 2012).

Member of the Fraction M.Kazbekova is a Secretary of the Committee for Economic Reform and Regional Development. Member of the Fraction E.Nikitinskaya was the Secretary of the Committee for Finance and Budget during 1-2 sessions.

There are 8 seats in the Fraction. They are: Azat Peruashev, Azamat Abildayev, Nurlan Zhazylbekov, Talgat Ergaliyev, Svetlana Kadraliyeva, Meruart Kazbekova, Yekaterina Nikitinskaya, Almas Turtayev (On 15 September 2012 Plenum of the Party Central Council considered Mr. Ryskali’s application and decided to transfer his mandate to Talgat Yergaliyev – Secretary of the Central Council for Regional Policy, Chairman of the Union of Kazakhstan Builders.

On 27 February 2013 a MP S.Sarsenov submitted a letter of resignation from the parliamentary powers from March 1, 2013 for family reasons. His application was granted by the Resolution of the Party Central Council from 04.03.2013.

On 20 June 2013 the Plenum of the Central Council of “Ak Zhol” Party decided to transfer the vacant mandate Majilis member to Svetlana Kadraliyeva – Head of the agro-industrial corporation from Almaty region).

Fraction Meetings are held weekly on Tuesdays by means of videoconference with regional branches of the party. At the meeting, MPs apply position of the Fraction on discussed bills, approve and distribute parliamentary inquiries, consider citizens’ appeals.

Developers of considered bills, including ministers and deputy ministers, heads of banks, business associations and others attend Fraction Meetings.

Activists of the Party including regional branches have opportunities to address directly to the heads of state agencies to participate in discussiosn of upcoming parliamentary inquiries, make proposals for legislation developing.

Fraction Meetings are held quarterly in the regions with the participation of members of the Presidium and activists of the party.
